Sept. 17: SOS Flood Relief Jam, 7 p.m. at CHUBurger, 1225 Ken Pratt Blvd., Longmont. The weekly Lyons jam moves to Longmont since its home has been evacuated. The Lyons Jam will donate $200 (plus donations collected on the 17th) to the newly organized Lyons Musician Relief Fund.
Sept. 17: Marian Call online concert, 9:30 p.m., via Google hangout. Nerd culture singer-songwriter Marion Call will hold an online concert while asking fans to give money to Red Cross for flood victims. See details of the hangout here.
Sept. 18: Awnry Girl Prod Tribute/Benefit for Amanda Anderson & Danny Shafer, 7 p.m. at Oskar Blues, Longmont. On Sept. 18, this monthly tribute asks guests to bring money, canned goods, clothes and supplies to this community gathering and benefit.
Sept. 19: Bop Skizzum/ Lyft Benefit Launch Party, 6 p.m., Bluebird Theatre. For everyone that attends this free concert with Bop Skizzum, Klyft will donate $10 to the Colorado chapter of the Red Cross.
Sept. 19: CO Flood Relief, 10:30 p.m., at Dazzle Jazz,, 9th and Lincoln, Denver. Billed as a jazz/soul/poetry/hip-hop event, this fundraiser at Dazzle Jazz Club suggests a $5 donation and includes hosts Venus Cruz, AJ Salas, Cory Baker, Andrew Lindstrom and performances by Lady Speech, DJ Fast4Ward and Whygee.
Sept. 20-21: Longmont Oktoberfest (now partially benefiting flood relief efforts), Sept. 20 4-10 p.m. Sept. 21: 12-10 p.m., Roosevelt Park in Longmont. Left Hand Brewing’s fall event celebrates with German-themed festivities, local brews and food. According to the event’s website, organizers are working to dedicate the event to flood relief.
Sept. 27: Swallow Hill flood relief concert, 8 p.m., Swallow Hill Music, 71 E. Yale Ave., Denver. The Swallow Hill music community is holding a concert featuring guests Mollie O’Brien & Rich Moore and Harry Tuft. All proceeds go to Foothills Flood Relief. Just added: Big Head Todd & the Monsters frontman Todd Park Mohr will play this benefit.
Sept. 27-28: A Big Gigantic Flood Relief, Fillmore Auditorium and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, 8 p.m. and 7 p.m.Big Gigantic is giving a portion of proceeds to its already scheduled two-night Colorado run to Conscious Alliance’ flood relief fund.
Sept. 27: “Laughter Helps” Stand-Up Comedy Benefit for Colorado Flood Recovery, 7:30 p.m. This event at Actasana Acting, Yoga & Theatre (1491 S. Holly St.) includes comedy from Denver stand-ups Nora Lynch, Heather Snow, Chris Charpentier, Jordan Doll and Elliot Woolsey, all hosted by Lea Marlene! Suggested donations go by $25 increments ($25, $50, $100, etc.) but any amount is welcome.
Sept. 28: eTown CD release & Flood Benefit, eTown Hall, 1535 Spruce St., Boulder, 7 p.m. Jayme Stone & the Other Side of th Air is donating proceeds from its CD release at eTown Hall to flood relief efforts.
Sept. 28: Wake of the Flood benefit. 8 p.m., Fox Theatre. This benefit show from the relief fund Wake of the Flood includes performances from members of Hot Soup, DeadPhish Orchestra, Mountain Standard Time and more.
Sept. 29: “Blame It on the Rain.” 8 p.m. Hi-Dive. The lineup and particulars for this event are still coming together, but organizer and Westword writer Josiah Hesse tells us that we can expect comedians Sam Tallent (of the Fine Gentleman’s Club) and Jordan Doll as well as music from Paper Bird’s Esme Patterson, Wheelchair Sports Camp and Ken Arkind, with profits going to the Colorado Red Cross. Oct. 6: Flood Relief Concert, No time listed, Dickens Opera House, Longmont. With more information to be announced, this flood relief concert at the Dickens Opera House in Longmont already boasts a performance by Something Underground and Chris Daniels on its bill.
